Robert D. Jowers currently focuses his practice in oil, gas and mineral law in Texas. Mr. Jowers is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law. He has extensive experience reviewing, negotiating, and drafting contracts for the sale and purchase of oil, gas and other related hydrocarbon substances as well as the acquisition and financing of producing properties, pipelines and gathering systems. He has assisted with the review, negotiation, and preparation of drilling, exploration, participation, joint venture, farm-out/farm-in, joint operating, pooling, and unitization agreements; and, rights of way acquisition.

Mr. Jowers has rendered, and supervised, the rendition of many title opinions in all areas of Texas (the Gulf Coast, Barnett Shale, Haynesville Shale, the Eagle Ford Shale, the Permian, and numerous other geologic areas in Texas) and Louisiana concerning the exploration, production, financing, and acquisition of oil and gas properties.

Mr. Jowers has represented clients concerning regulatory matters before the Railroad Commission of Texas. He represents clients in complex litigation concerning the ownership, exploration, production, and operation of oil and gas properties, pipelines, oil and gas contractual matters and rights of way condemnation. . Mr. Jowers has testified as an expert witness and served as appointed Special Master in Chancery regarding oil and gas contract issues; and, has co-authored numerous Amicus Curiae Briefs on behalf of oil and gas companies concerning matters of importance to the oil and gas industry. He has mediated many disputes concerning civil/commercial issues.

Jennifer Leach
Jennifer Leach received Bachelor of Arts degrees in philosophy and public relations from Southern Methodist University in 1996, her Juris Doctorate degree from South Texas College of Law in 2000, and was licensed by the State Bar of Texas in 2001. She practices oil and gas law, with a focus on litigation. She handles complex commercial litigation and general litigation matters concerning the upstream oil and gas industry, including lease maintenance and trespass issues. Her experience includes all aspects of pre-trial preparation, mediation, and trial. Additionally, Ms. Leach represents clients in the rendering of title opinions for clients’ exploration and production purposes, and in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing various contracts and agreements.
